In this session, which will open the “Radical Science” programme, Lluís Torner (founding director of ICFO), Caterina Biscari (director of the ALBA Synchrotron), Josep Samitier (director of IBEC) and Eugenio Coccia (director of IFAE), together with the general director of Research at the Ministry of Research and Universities of the Catalan Government, Joan Gómez Pallarès, will present the most strategic programmes of current frontier research and reflect on their impact on knowledge and society. Presented by Judit Carrera, director of the CCCB, and Joan Gómez Pallarès. Moderated by Toni Pou, physicist and journalist specialising in science. Free admission.
