Exhibition to raise awareness in society of the serious problem of plastic garbage that floods all oceans, causing that there is not a single square kilometer of seawater that is free of plastic particles. Every year between 8 and 12 million tons of garbage from poorly managed waste around the five continents reach the sea, and of these, 15% move along the surface of the sea, another 15% reach the coasts and the rest sinks in the seabed. The centre of this exhibition shows the floating plastic remains from several oceans, and visitors can trace their origins and life cycle. In another section, the background of the problem, the impact they generate and the solutions to this crisis are raised to encourage citizens to take action. The exhibition, created by the Zurich Design Museum in association with the Drosos Foundation, has toured more than 20 cities in Europe and Asia, generating a great impact that is contributing to raising awareness. Free entry.
