A new edition of the Film and Human Rights Festival of Catalonia is coming, which will program 40 films (23 feature films and 17 short films) from 24 countries and will unfold in person at the headquarters in Barcelona (from April 9 to 14 at Cinemes Girona ), Lleida (ScreenBox) and Reus (Centre de Lectura), and also online (from April 15 to 28) at Filmin with a selection of feature films and on the website of IMPACTE! with all the short films. As for the parallel activities, this year’s edition in Barcelona will have a second prominent location, the La Model Cultural Centre, where three prison-themed films will be presented, followed by debates on human rights and penitentiary services, the repression of women in Tito’s Yugoslavia and during the Franco regime, and the Israeli repressive system on the Palestinian people, with the presence of female directors, protagonists and experts in each subject.
