The anarchist movement that occurred during the Spanish Civil War has been documented a lot, but photographs of that moment are not habitual. This exhibition, however, offers the opportunity to rediscover it from an unprecedented perspective through snapshots of the time thanks to the Photographic Archive of Barcelona and the Observatory of Daily Life, with the collaboration of the Anselmo Lorenzo Foundation and the Popular Encyclopaedic Ateneo. It proposes a tour of the photographic background of the Information and Propaganda Office that the CNT-FAI created in Barcelona during the Civil War in order to articulate and expand the new imaginary of the social revolution in the context of the struggle against fascism. More than one hundred photographs of Kati Horna, Margaret Michaelis, Pérez de Rozas, Antoni Campañà and many anonymous or unknown authors are shown. Free entrance.
