The Barcelona Indigenous Film Festival celebrates its XVII edition, dedicated to Ancestral Intelligences, a form of resistance to the colonization of the past and the present – in facts and in historical reconstruction. Also to the colonization of the future, to the diminished and sad stories that only imagine the end of the world or unrealizable technological miracles, ignoring the ways of living, doing, thinking and imagining of thousands of indigenous cultures. The program includes the screening of feature films, short films, documentaries, presentations, colloquiums and round tables. The festival will close with La Jarana!, a party with the presentation of the IndiFest awards, live music and DJs in Paral·lel 62 venue. Further information here.
