The Picasso Museum is open until October for free three days a week late in the day so you can enjoy the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, between 7 and 9pm, you can see the works of an artist with a great love for Barcelona, the city where he lived his formative years before leaving for Paris. The institution was born as a result of the rapprochement in the fifties of the last century between the artist and the city and the attempts of the City Council of those times to limit the deterioration of Ribera, the neighborhood where the museum is located and in which Picasso had lived.
