The Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival (BCN FILM FEST) will be held from June 25 to July 2 at Cinemes Verdi. BCN FILM FEST 2020 will screen a total of 44 films, of which 3 world premieres, one European premiere, 22 Spanish premieres and four Catalan premieres. 16 titles are part of the Official Section, of which 12 in competition – 5 of them are directed by women. The links between cinema, literature and history are the central theme of the festival, which has its preferred space in the Official Section. Spanish and Catalan productions have a special place in the Zona Oberta of the BCN FILM FEST, with three titles. In collaboration with CineAsia, BCN FILM FEST will offer a selection of Korean films from different eras and genres, on the occasion of the centenary of cinema in Korea and also coinciding with the worldwide success of “Parásitos”. Gathered in the special section Korea 100 by CineAsia, the festival presents six films. Cinema amb Gràcia will offer a selection of comedies from around the world with a preference for popular productions. BCN FILM FEST completes its program with the Imprescindibles section, with the already announced tribute to Éric Rohmer, on the Centenary of his birth, which brings together eight of his best films, and with the selection of documentaries on art that you will find in the Art al Cinema section.
