AQU Catalunya, together with the ”la Caixa” Foundation, makes the Catalan Talent Observatory portal available to the public, which analyses jobs offered online in Catalonia, to the public. It is an innovative web portal that uses the latest advances in web scraping and natural language processing technologies to analyse job offers recently published online in Catalonia. It provides an interactive visualisation of the jobs and skills most in demand in Catalonia, along with other characteristics such as the type of contract, and puts Catalonia on a par with other European countries where similar initiatives have been carried out. The overview of labour market trends is essential to better adapt the educational offer to the needs and requirements of this market and to foster employment. The information provided by the Observatory is aimed at different economic and social entities, such as employment agencies, trade union associations and organisations, government agencies and educational centres, as well as the general public. The portal is available in three languages (Catalan, Spanish and English) and offers eight different dashboards to access the data.
