Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) is one of the most famous photographers of the 20th century. In partnership with the Bucerius Kunstforum of Hamburg, this exhibition offers a broad and in-depth look at the co-founder of the legendary Magnum photographic agency. In addition to his early surrealist-influenced photographs and cinematographic works, as well as his political photo reportage, his portraits of well-known artists and writers are also on display, as well as his later photographs, which focus on everyday human behavior. The exhibition is made up of 240 original prints, as well as a careful selection of his publications in magazines and books, of great interest to learn about his career between 1930 and 1970.
