The Virreina Centre de la Imatge is hosting one of the most comprehensive exhibitions on the world of Jean-Luc Godard, the influential filmmaker of the second half of the 20th century, whose career and vision were marked by war: from images of World War II to those of the Spanish Civil War. The exhibition has been curated by film programmer and researcher Manuel Asín, who had access to the Nouvelle Vague filmmaker’s personal archive and collaborated with his heirs and those closest to the director. The exhibition includes from shooting notebooks, recordings, and photographs to paintings and books. Admission is free.
