Open to the world and focused on providing comprehensive service to students, the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) offers studies in the fields of Science, Education, Business, Health, Biosciences, Engineering, Humanities, Design, and Communication. The International Campus brings together UVic-UCC’s international activities: mobility and exchange programs, Study Abroad, postgraduate courses, research, continuing education, and international cooperation projects.
In addition, UVic-UCC’s research activity is carried out through twenty-five research groups, six research and knowledge transfer centers, one research institute, and sixteen research chairs.

Study Abroad – Programmes in Barcelona and Vic

These courses are aimed at university students wishing to spend a few weeks at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, in Barcelona, to broaden their studies in business, innovation, design, and engineering. This innovative training is not part of any standard mobility or cooperation scheme. UVic-UCC offers three types of programs:

1. Academic year / Semester programmes

These programs are designed for international students who wish to take one or two semesters in Barcelona or Vic. UVic-UCC offers courses in English in the areas of Business, Design, Communication, and Engineering. Upon completion, students receive a UVic-UCC certificate indicating the academic credits completed, which their home university may recognize.
Courses are highly practice-oriented but also include the basic theoretical framework necessary to work on real case studies. Professionals from each field are invited to participate in some sessions.

2. Tailored courses

Tailor-made courses are also available for international groups of students and faculty in the areas of Education, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Health Sciences. Programs may be purely academic or combined with cultural and touristic visits.
UVic-UCC can manage additional services such as accommodation, transport, guided tours, and company or organization visits. Course duration can be adapted to participants’ needs. 3. International Summer Term

These are intensive summer academic programs complemented by cultural and social activities in Barcelona.
Courses take place from June to late July and may be eligible for academic credit. The duration of each course varies by program. It is an opportunity to deepen knowledge of a specific topic while discovering the city of Barcelona.
